Rose of Marquette

Marquette grapes are hard to come by and this is the first year we have had enough where we could make a rosé. The resulting wine is deeply colored for a rosé, and packed with ripe red fruit.

Marquette grapes are very highly pigmented. Most red grape varieties would press out light pink or even clear, but Marquette presses out very red.  Some studies have shown Marquette wines to be very high in anthocyanins, which is known for have health benefits.  Is Marquette Rosé the next diet trend?
